What began as a response to constantly recurring client queries grew into a toolbox.

What generally followed “Oh, what lovely images” was “but aren’t there any that are a little more Swedish?”. Mårten Johnér was faced with this question as he took care of clients in his role as salesperson and illustration editor at the large international stock photography agency.

It was from client need that the Johnér Bildbyrå emerged – with the aim of offering the Swedish market commercial images with a Swedish touch in terms of color, pictorial language, tone and motif.

The agency has grown like mad during Johnér’s ten years of existence. The agency’s business concept is quite simply brilliant. With a keen sense of awareness of our clients’ needs, we have continued to produce creative building blocks. The Scandinavian stills have been supplemented with film clips, film assignments and film production. The international material is carefully selected and we offer an image search service.
