Contrasts is the perfect word to describe Fredrik Schlyter's photography. As an outdoor person and climber, Fredrik uses his camera in extreme environments in all weathers, whether suspended 700 metres up a vertical rock face, in a steamy jungle or in the midst of a mountain blizzard. But he has several strings to his bow. Fredrik is also a skilled people photographer and his portfolio contains numerous excellent, natural images of people in everyday environments.
Fredrik is unflagging in his quest for motifs and loves finding unusual image angles, ideally in natural settings. The documentary feeling is close to his heart, which gives his images a sublime sense of the near and natural.
